Siadziba shapavaly ("Fullers") farm stay
Description:
Descended from renowned family of fullers, the Zulikovs are the family who live and work on the farm today. They keep and pass down from generation to generation such traditional folk-crafts as fuller craft, bee-keeping, carpentry, smith craft. The secrets of these crafts have been handed down from father to son for many years, and now the hosts are ready to share these secrets with you.
The fullers of the past used to have their own professional language, and today you have a chance to hear what it sounded like.
The farm also has a museum where a collection of traditional tools of craftsmen and ancient objects for every-day use is exhibited.
When you come here, you will meet hospitable people, enjoy the beauty of nature, experience life in the country. You will find out some secrets of bee-keeping and taste honey products, learn how to make hats and felt boots and get more information about this traditional craft, take part in smith’s work and comb wool on an ancient card, make your own wax candle.
At the moment guests cannot be accommodated for the night, but in summer time you will be given place for a tent, a kitchen with a gas-stove, a fridge and so on.
You can also visit the traditional steam bath.
The quests can be offered traditional country food and treated to vegetables and fruit grown on the farm.
The farm has a children’s paly-ground, volleyball court, pull-up bar, badminton, outdoor grills. You may also rent a bicycle, fishing rods, an inflatable boat.
There is a pond and a lake nearby, and a forest within a few minutes’ walking distance, so you may go fishing or hunting for berries and mushrooms.
